Day 1 March 16

Nothing seemed to go right.  We didn't think we would ever get on the road. Trying to remember everything, broken water pipes in the bar and MUD!!!!!  We tried to spend the night at T's brother house (Mark & Rita), but mud got us again as we starting sinking and had to leave.  We went to the closet friendly campsite we knew.....Wally World (Baraboo).  They greeted us with big smiles as they told us where we could park for the night. Slept like babies.

Did a little grocery shopping and now it's off down the road.

Next thing on the agenda is find some corned beef, cabbage and some good green beer.  Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you!

Had some great corned beef in Jefferson with our daughter Stacey and headed south.  Finally got out of the flat lands and into mountains in Kentucky.

They actually have house boats on the water, however, it does not look as clean and clear as Northwoods waters.

We found the coal mines interesting, although the weather was kind of gloomy.

Finally arrived in Bristol Thursday.

Saw a few of the drivers on the Speed Channel Stage

Ended up with a great campsite with a few thousand neighbors.

They just stack the campers up on the hillsides, this was taken from our campsite and the track is just behind the hill.

Til next time.
