This is Destin, Florida. Land of white sands and Caribbean blue waters.

We pulled into Blue Angel Rec Area, Pensacola, Florida. The 1st night we spent in the trees waiting for a
full hook-up site to become available. All sites are 1st come....no reservations.

Bob relaxing after getting us settled the 1st night. We moved the next morning onto a great prime site in the
1st row water side. It was awesome.

We ventured to Perdido Key and visited the FLORABAMA BAR. It is located on the Florida & Alabama border.
What an experience. It was destroyed by hurricane Ivan. They started to rebuild, but the city said it had to
be "NEW" looking and they quit construction. You can see the porto-potties lined up and the blue tarp is
covering the pool table and game room.

This establishment is held together by tarps and awnings. It also sports a HUGE bra collection!

The decor is unfinished plywood and plastic. Thank the lord, they served all drinks in plastic or the original can!

They had the neons hanging on pipes, poles or whatever would support them.

Elaine Petty is an AWESOME performer. She can really sing!
We had such a great time, we went back the next night to listen to her again.

FLORABAMA's Game room. Perdido Key.

We rented a boat from the Blue Angel marina. This home is located on Perdido Bay. I couldn't resist the color.

Once again, feathered friends keeping watch on Perdido Bay.

I had a great time with my new camera that Bob got me for Christmas. Caught this pelican in flight.

We had dolphins swim along side of our boat numerous times.

BIG BOATS passed us by.

What a life!

We followed this sail boat down Perdido Bay. The wind filled its sails and it was beautiful.

It appears that when Wisconsinites have dogs to protect our homes, Floridians have watchbirds.

This was a neat looking black duck. Again, working with my new camera was fun.

Two ships passing each other on Perdido Bay. I thought it was a great shot!

We also had to sail around the huge tugs that were pushing barges up and down Perdido Bay.
Bob handled our boat like a true sailor! The water is really turbulent after the tugs move by you and
combined with the waves on the big water a person really needs to know who to handle a boat!!!!!

We found a large flock of Loons. I have never seen so many together at one time.

They were making a barking sound to each other. Bob & I thought that maybe these were the young ones
trying to attract their new mates. They truly sounded like puppies yelping.

My new camera a work.

This is our front row premium site that we had at Blue Angel Rec Area, Pensacola, Florida

Til next time.
