March 24 -
View of the Blue Ridge Mountain range, going up the hills. The up part is not bad, it's the down part that can get scary. We were headed for Ashville, NC after leaving Bristol, TN.
We had a beautiful view from our site number P2 at Campfire Lodgings campground in Ashville, NC.
We continued into Ashville to visit with our friend, Roger Morgan, of the Discount Tire Barn. We had blast with Roger, Renee, Boozer, Goober, Randy and the rest of the crew. Had to have a Bud Light or two with them after hours.
Roger and his friend, Annie Brown, hooked us up with tickets to visit the Biltmore Estates. Although it was rainy, we had a wonderful time! Annie was born and raised on the estate and helped raise the last generation of the current owners children. What a wealth of information! Thanks Roger and Annie for a great time!!!
Unfortunately, we were a little early to really appreciate the gardens; however, they were still absolutely beautiful!
The entire roadway is landscaped to perfection!
It's nice to see water that is not frozen and to hear the sound of the waterfall.
